Positive: Loved the location close to footpaths and 2 pubs within 30-40mins walk. The cottage is beautifully laid out with good quality kitchen appliances and plenty of space so we didn't feel cramped / hemmed in when it rained all of one day. Sadly didn't get a chance to try the pool! Staff were incredibly helpful and responsive - above and beyond really.
Negative: Like others have said, the gorgeous wildflower meadow and lack of screens on the windows does result in quite a few insects buzzing around the bedroom at night, even with all attempts to keep lights minimal when windows were open. Not a problem for us (we love staying in tropical forests where insect life is super abundant!) but may be an issue for some. Could have done with a couple more coathangers, but only because I managed to forget the ones I normally travel with :-)

Positive: Key safe access code provided in advance. Accommodation inside is modern, farmland surroundings were a little wild but quiet, dark nights. Shower was large and shower head was high. Pool was clean and is reasonably large Also deep 1.1m falling to 1.9m). Plenty of parking, walks through fields and woods. Instructions for equipment were available and guidance on places to visit with satnav postcodes.Binoculars and a bird guide were in the room as were two solar eclipse glasses. Birds we saw included a sparrow hawk, pheasants, pigeons and swallows. This is not a like or a dislike necessarily but there appeared to be no on-site staff. Those we saw were in attendance for a few farm activities, a cleaner and someone testing the pool water.
Negative: We were there on the last days of a near 60 day drought so you can probably guess it was hot. The many wild areas immediately around the (four) cottages were dead. Nights were also hot and no Aircon. The only real problem I had was gnats mostly at night. They love my blood so as you can imagine I am well bitten. It was our choice to visit Kent and stay relatively central. This means roads from the main roads to the farm tend to be single track with some passing places, very winding and hilly, not great when encountering tractor with trailers coming the other way. Low sun stopped me occasionally and I wouldn't want to travel down them at night, nor without a satnav.
Summary: My choice whether good or bad.

Positive: It is completely new, very nice decorated and fully equiped (kitchen has everything you need but also for the shower, some reading, watching netflix, towels for the pool and advice on where to go). It has a nice terrace just for you with a beautiful view of the nature. Behind the house of the farm is a beautiful English garden/swimmingpool, which is heated. A few minutes driving and you have a very nice pub (the Plough Inn). The hostess is very helpful!
Negative: You are in the middle of nature so a beetle or something could come inside.
Summary: Lovely, completely new and fully equiped cottage
