Positive: Yumiko was very friendly, super accommodating and made our whole stay seamless. The location was perfect to cover all the sites we wanted to go to for the views of Fuji. The property is very clean which the host ensures and the beds were very comfortable. We also loved the breakfast and are very grateful for her amazing, cost friendly dinner suggestion- we haven’t been able to beat a meal since!

Positive: Sparkling clean, lovely breakfast, quite close to Mt Fuji station. The owner is very friendly and always happy to help and accommodate. She is very present.

Negative: My room was facing a very busy road (4 lanes). I used earplugs to sleep. Also, being a guest house with thin walls and sliding doors, you can hear your neighbours. I missed freedom of movement sometimes.

Positive: The host was very helpful and informative. Guided us to places of interest. Very knowledgeable and speaks good English. We had a great time chatting about Javanese culture & history.

Negative: A little walk from the train station. Uphill on return. Difficult with a suitcase but the host gave us a lift.

Summary: We really enjoyed the stay. Two nights stay would have been better to climb Mt Fuji.

Positive: Yumiko is extremely kind, she helped us a lot, and we had a wonderful Japanese experience with her. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the shower is clean and roomy. The house is modern and well organized, and the breakfast is prepared with great care. You can see Mt. Fuji from the window. Fujiyoshida is a quiet city, within walking distance of the Arakurayama park and Fuji q highland. Easy access to buses and train station.

Positive: The house is amazing and a great place to start an adventure around Mt Fuji. But the star of your stay will be your host. Attentive, helpful and kind, Yumiko will make sure your adventure is as good as it can be. If she suggests places to eat around the house be sure to follow them! best meal I had my whole trip.

Positive: Yumiko was the best host you could have. She was very informative and helpful. I mentioned my plan to climb Mt.Fuji from station 0 and she gave me information about the mountain itself/traditions and which way to go. She also helped me figure out where to get dinner the day before, as it can be a bit difficult for a vegetarian like me. The house itself was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast was both tasty and healthy. Ps. I successfully climbed Mt.Fuji!
