Travel Purpose: business

Positive: This B&B is 4*. The bed was luxurious - queen sized and good quallity bedding. The room was large, bright and airy. It had a proper en suite shower-room. Not a cut-off piece in the corner of the room with no window like many hotels and B&Bs but a separate small room with large bright window. Plumbing very good. The room was not over-furnished with unnecessary large wardrobes etc. The fireplace and large chandelier added elegance to the room. The view from the window was very pleasant, and, although on a fairly busy road, the noise level was minimal and towards evening got less. Parking was easy on residential roads at the back. The host was very attentive and the vegetarian breakfast was substantial with a variety of food on offer. It was only 10 mins walk to town and theatre/pubs/restaurants. We plan to stay there again.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike really. Hebdon Bridge is only 4 miles away and we discovered Hardcastle Crags just on the hills above Hebdon. Great place! National Trust property with good cafe to aim for on not too far walk. Good for families. The host could add that to her informtion folder.

Summary: Very comfortable, friendly and a very positive experience.
