Positive: The apartment is bigger than I expected. A huge balcony is just perfect to enjoy summer evenings. The kitchen is simply perfect. It has simply everything to prepare any breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location is very nice. A nice plus was the option to park the car in the garage, made available by the host. One finds everything within walking distances: grocery stores, bakery, drug store. Around the corner is a playground that was just paradise for the kids. We all loved it. Very closed to the place is the old town, a really nice place to sit, enjoy restaurants, ice cream or coffee. A nice surprise. Meeting the host was just great!

Negative: The apartment is nice, really nice. The only thing is that the bathrooms look very old style. All working well, but might require some work in the near future.

Summary: Big nice apartment with everything around to make anyone's stay very comfortable.

Positive: Lovely apartment with nice balcony - good for catching the morning sunshine. Herr Philipp and his wife were very accommodating when we asked to stay an extra night. Good communication all round.

Negative: The double bed is very low to the ground. Not a problem for us, but something to be aware of.

Positive: It was clean and in a location central to where we were visiting.

Negative: The beds in the master bedroom are approximately 12 inches off the ground and futon mattresses. For a 48 year old, overweight guy trying to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night where your knees are above your waist was problematic.

Summary: A great place to stay, but the master bedroom bed did not meet our needs

Positive: A lovely, warm spacious apartment with easy access to the bakery opposite and to other shops and the town centre. EVERYTHING we needed for our stay was available. Would definitely try to book again, hopefully in better time of the year when we could make use of the lovely balcony. We were also able to bring foreward our arrival time without any hassle, which was so convenient. Thank you.

Negative: Nothing, we just asked for instructions for the hob and oven as it took us some time to know how to operate.

Positive: The hosts were fantastic - we had many train cancellations on the way to the apartment and we arrived very late at night but had constant communication with the host who was happy to wait until whenever we finally arrived. We were greeted by a kind gentleman who gave us a full of tour of the apartment. There was a huge amount of space, plenty for the 4 of us. Everything was very clean and the cupboards and drawers were full of everything you could possibly need and more! The location was perfect for us, just a 10 minute walk from the train station with easy access to nearby cities like Dusseldorf and Dortmund. There was also a bakery just over the road that was very useful plus a Lidl and Aldi a short walk away.

Summary: Wonderful hosts and a very spacious apartment in a great location.
