Positive: the gite was very spacious and clean and with a lot of comfort! The bed was really good and the shower also. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything you could need. The location itself is perfect: surroundings are amazing. On the countryside, close by the lovely village Beaumont en Auge and Deauville. Waking up with the sound of neighing horses brings a nice extra! We found the horses (and lovely doggies) to be a bonus and certainly did not detract from our stay.

Negative: Nothing to dislike! We thought it is an added value being on this very well maintained equestrian centre. The stables and horses (in several stable blocks) are well-cared for!

Summary: Perfect stay in a rural location with characterful accommodation .

Positive: A very well equipped and comfortable accommodation, consisting of a bedroom with en-suite shower and double sink, both spacious and of good quality, the bedroom was provided with a stand-alone Air Condition Unit (with 'fixed' exhaust hose). The bed was of large / King Size and comfortable . The remainder of the accommodation consisted of an open-plan lounge / breakfast area / kitchen. All of good size, with original beams (watch your head in places) . The lavatory is a small room off of the lounge. The accommodation is above an occupied stable / stable storage and is accessed by reasonably steep exterior (but covered) stairs . The building is within a very well maintained equestrian centre that has won many competitions with its horses . The stables and horses (in several stable blocks) are well-cared for. There are , my estimate, 12 to 20 horses approximately at the Centre. I found the horses to be a bonus and certainly did not detract from our stay. We heard very, very little noise from the stable beneath. Occasionally there was a very minor smell of hay but again of no concern . Outside the accommodation was a small largely secluded garden area with trees and bushes. There was an outside table and chairs . The Centre is in a very rural area accessed by narrow lanes but which presented no problems. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Centre, the owners were happy for us to look at the horses and to a great extent went about their business with out interrupting our stay. I would be very happy to stay there again.

Negative: We thought our stay was excellent, however the weather was VERY hot which of course is something that cannot be controlled, the bedroom air-con was noisy and the exhaust hose needs better fixing (it fell off). Ideally a different air-con unit would be good. The secluded garden could be better maintained , like the remainder of the very smart estate. There were a LOT of fallen leaves that 10 minutes with a leaf blower would have removed.

Summary: An excellent stay in a rural equestrian based location with characterful accommodation .
