Negative: It is a lovely place to stay however, I would like to make a few comments as constructive feedback. It was advertised that there was a restaurant on site. We had planned to eat there on our arrival that evening however, there was no restaurant so after a long journey we had to go and find somewhere to eat. Room service was also advertised but we did not receive any. The owner said on the last day that as we were checking out that as we had not left a key, she could not provide any. We didn’t realise that you had to and I was surprised that they did not have a spare key. Maybe do not advertise something that you are not currently providing as it is misleading. In the bathroom there is a window that overlooks the bed. If your partners goes to the toilet at night the light shines through. Maybe put up a privacy blind. We had one loo roll provided and had to go to the main house to ask for more. Also in the bathroom there is nowhere to put toiletries in the shower, a shelf would be useful as would something by the sink to stand toothbrushes on to protect your wooden stand. A towel rail would also be handy instead of wooden coat hangers. In the main room the kettle lead is too short to plug in from the table so we had to put it onto the floor. We were a bit cold the first night but were unable to turn the heater on and did not want to disturb the owners. Maybe a booklet would be handy with the Wi-Fi code in, how to use the heater, additional useful information and maybe the history of the chateau. Breakfast was ok. We had stayed at other places prior to this one and had been spoilt. I think the addition of some fresh fruit and cheeses would be nice and may be some local / homemade products as again advertised. I hope the comments will be taken in the intent they are given for constructive feedback. I would stay there again as it is lovely and with a few tweaks it could be exceptional.
