Positive: Lovely friendly, welcoming host, beautiful setting surrounded by countryside. Wonderfully relaxing Accomodation excellent, great natgroom, bed mattress suoer comfy, Not walking distance to a town, but easily reached if required. Swimming pool, gardens are superb. Relax, swim, and listen to the birds! Nice breakfast Well trained dogs, antics made us smile 😂 No hesitation in recommending

Positive: Such a pretty place, beautiful restoration of old farmhouse. Very kind, informative and interesting/ interested host. Breakfast was such a lovely choice of homemade and artisan things such as homemade preserves by our host and local, yoghurt, pastries, bread and cheeses. Good company coffee and juices.

Negative: Nothing to not like- it is absolutely superb.

Summary: Really wonderful stopover in a gorgeous farmhouse

Positive: Honorine was a lovely host, the homemade dinner and breakfast was fantastic, and the large attic bedroom was great. There was a second room opposite for children (we didn't have any with us, but if we had, this would have been perfect, like having a family suite). I loved that the private bathroom (for use only of these two rooms) was just outside the bedroom rather than ensuite. This suite of two bedrooms and bathroom was accessed by a separate staircase so nobody else would have passed by our rooms. As I said, food was amazing. I noticed that another review said dinner was expensive, but for three beautifully presented and delicious courses, plus bread, plus wine, the slightly higher than average price was worth it. No complaints for us! Thanks Honorine, we will come back xxx

Negative: Maybe tea/coffee-making facilities in the room would be good, but it certainly wasn't a problem for us, and water was provided instead.

Positive: Our wonderful stay with Honorine began with her warm welcome - she was waiting for us at the entrance, and we immediately felt at home. It really makes a difference that she is such a warm and genuine person. Within minutes, we were already laughing and listening to her stories about local life. The house is decorated with incredible taste, and the bedroom has a very comfortable bed where you can get a great night’s sleep. The house is full of charming details and little touches that create a unique atmosphere. What impressed us the most was the breakfast — we did not expect such a level of hospitality. The variety of jams, local products and the beautifully presented table, prepared with so much care, truly won us over. Highly recommended.

Positive: Honorine was a wonderful host. She was really happy to interact - we learned loads about her interesting family history which was fascinating. She has made the dining area and lounge inside really stylish and comfortable too. If you go in summer you are able to eat outside rather than inside and that is great. We had a lovely dinner - 3 courses with wine and very reasonable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Honorine you looked after my mum and me really well and we thank you for that - we would so stay again if in your area.

Positive: The host was extremely friendly and helpful. She explained us very well how to most enjoy the house and upgraded us to a slightly bigger room. The swimming pool was a nice treat after a long road! I would definitely recommend!

Negative: Nothing... except that we were there only for one night and arrived exhausted from the road... it was a relaxing break but too short...

Positive: This is a lovely converted farmhouse, modern inside but with beautiful furnishings inherited from the proprietors’( Honorine)great grandmother. . Honorine is a wonderful chef, and prepared a lovely meal for us. Solignac is a quiet villager where everyone knows each other, with an impressive old abbey from the 1200´s, now again occupied by monks.
