Positive: Lovely welcome from the lovely Magali and her husband. Beautiful location, excellent room with all mod cons. Extremely comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be back. The pic is the view from the back garden.

Positive: The owners were very friendly and welcoming, happy to give advice on local restaurants and the best roads to ride in the area. The house is in a beautiful location with a lovely garden and amazing views of the hills and forests We stayed in the larger room, the room was big and the bed was super comfortable. The en suite bathroom had a large shower and double basin. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful. We also used their BBQ facilities, you pay a small fee and they set the table and make the fire, you just provide the food. There was also plenty of safe parking for a few motorcycles.

Positive: We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Les Écureuils in the heart of the Ardennes. Traveling by car, we enjoyed cycling along the Meuse River and kayaking nearby. Magali and Georges were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, making our stay extra special. The house is peaceful and charming, our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the secure parking was very convenient. The breakfast each morning was generous, delicious, and beautifully prepared with care. Surrounded by stunning scenery, Les Écureuils is the perfect place for relaxation and adventure. We highly recommend it and would gladly return! Thanks again Magali and Georges for your kindness and hospitality!

Positive: The owners are very friendly, gave us lots of recommendations and the breakfast has a lot of choices, and they even made an omelette for me and uses their own products.
Negative: Our room was a little bit small, but we selected for that...Though its warm on that day and with no aircon, Magali made sure that the room has a good temperature for us, and with that we are grateful.

Positive: Magali and Georges are fantastic hosts with an attention to detail and a sense of humour. They also assisted us in booking a local restaurant for the evening meal. Their recommendation was an excellent choice. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, and I would add that we probably had the best breakfast that we have ever had in France. Locally sourced ingredients, all really excellent quality. We booked the larger of the two rooms, and it was exceptional. I lost count of the number of light switches! The bed is very comfortable. This was our first visit to the Ardenes region, and whilst not overly touristy, definitely a good location.
Negative: The state of the Belgian roads to get us there. Even worse than the UK! Perhaps we had not read the details properly, but the mention of being next to a river led us to believe that we would have a view of the river. Alas this is not the case, Taken as a whole this is a very minor point. You can also easily walk to the river which is at the bottom of their long garden. It's a quiet location.
Summary: It exceeded our expectations in nearly every respect. We would love to return.
