Positive: We had a very friendly welcome from Mike. The art work, curios and books in the main reception room were fascinating and coupled with an open log fire on a cold wet evening created a very welcoming space. The dinner was superb, flavoursome ,interesting and locally sourced.

Negative: Unfortunately the immersion heater tripped out and we didn’t have any hot water for showers in the morning.

Summary: Quiet ,peaceful and relaxing stay.

Positive: It was a very unusual property located in the middle of the French countryside quite difficult to find. The host was excellent and could not do more for us. Evening meal was very tasty and made just for us, however it was quite an expensive addition to our stay at £105Eur. for two, but very pleasantly served by a very attentive waitress service. The grounds were excellent for our dog with plenty of space for walking.

Negative: Only the evening meal was a bit on the pricey side at £105Eur for two for a starter and main course with a glass of wine.

Summary: A very pleasant stay which met our needs as a stop over on the way up France to Calais.

Positive: Lovely accommodation. With a very nice owner and his staff. Food was excellent, fresh and well prepaired. Lovely envoirement around the building, lovely nature and relaxing place.

Negative: You have to climb a stairs, for us no problem but you should know it
