Positive: Comfortable bed, quiet room, good breakfast buffet. It's a good budget place, but nothing special.

Negative: Powerful shower that the drain could not cope with, causing the bathroom floor to flood. Room service trays left in corridors for hours. Some of the reception staff were struggling with basic tasks such as finding bookings, charging for a multiple bookings, making room keys work (one of my colleagues had to return to reception 3 times and it's a long walk to most rooms)

Summary: Comfortable, pleasant place to stay but staff could do with some training and attention to detail

Positive: Convenient if you’re passing through and don’t want the hassle of parking in the centre of Oxford. However, Oxford is a short, and frequent, bus ride away. Good aircon. Reasonable size room, but not bathroom. Lots of (pay for) parking. Bed not bad, and bedding very luxurious.

Negative: It’s an updated warren of rooms. There are no lifts and endless corridors. The bathroom was tiny, but the washbasin was high. The basin plug didn’t hold water for more than a few seconds, which explained the dent in the plug where someone had tried to beat it into submission, but failed. It may think it’s posh, but the foyer is like an airport waiting area - there’s someone playing rap through his phone speakers at max volume. Varies between not cheap and very overpriced.

Summary: Convenience and comfort comes with catches.

Positive: Staff were very helpful and had obviously been well trained as at no stage did anyone query our guide dog’s presence in the hotel.

Negative: The signage indicating the way to the rooms was very small and white writing on grey was hard to read. This is not very accessible for those who are VI. I was also disappointed by how few disabled parking places there were. I believe you have 8 accessible rooms but only 6 disabled parking places, not even one per disabled room and you should be aware that not all disabled people need a disabled room but most need disabled parking near the door of the building. We also booked a room for 3 adults and the picture of the room showed 2 double beds in one room. We were actually allocated a suite with the extra bed in the living area and we were most disappointed to find that it was an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed.

Summary: Staff wonderful but need to consider the needs of their disabled visitors more.
