Positive: My friend and I felt so comfortable and relaxed. Loved all the interesting bits and pieces throughout the cottage that was very fitting for the era of the cottage.

Positive: Loved all the historical furnishings and the layout of the cottage. Plenty of supplies. Location was in a nice quiet area of the Barossa. John the owner was very easy to deal with.

Summary: Just a lovely comfortable cottage beautifully furnished that takes you back to yesteryear. Loved it.

Positive: The cottage was very cosy and we loved the fireplace. Weirdly though it was not in the living room but the back wall of the house. The place was quiet and all the available services were wonderful.

Negative: We were surprised that the house was so close to the road. Only being able to gain access through the back door and having a camera in situ to watch our entry and exits was a bit uncomfortable.

Positive: Everything you need to be self-sufficient and they leave you bread and jams plus condiments. Comfy bed and excellent shower pressure.

Positive: Bacon and eggs would have been nice, but the rest of breakfast was great. Location a little noisy on main road in the morning otherwise the home is easy to find.

Negative: The fire place working, sitting on a couch as this was the draw card from the pictures.

Positive: The location was beautiful. Surrounded by an abundance of trees, we loved waking to the sounds of nature. The property was well supplied with everything that we needed. Beautiful older furnishings blended well with modern conveniences. Peaceful and quiet and convenient to places we wanted to visit. Although there were neighbours, they were obscured by the many trees and gardens on the property and we felt we were very rural. The property was fantastic and we will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family

Positive: Lemke Cottage was in a quiet rural location which we enjoyed. It provided a comprehensive list of appliances and features, including the personalised embroidered linen on the beds. The hosts hospitality was clearly evident with the ingredients for a continental breakfast, chocolates and sparkling wine. The extra touches were much appreciated. The array of heritage items was very interesting and stimulated a number of conversations regarding life in the 19th century.

Negative: The accumulation of cobwebs possibly indicated rural living. The array of contents created a cluttered feeling, particularly in the kitchen. Some lights in the lounge area are not functioning.

Summary: We had an enjoyable stay. Lemke Cottage provided an excellent base from which to explore the Barossa and Clare Valleys.
