Positive: The lakeside location and the natural surroundings of the castle are stunning, resembling a postcard-perfect scene! Unfortunately, the comfort, the staff and the level of service do not match the beauty of the setting. The thoughtfully designed rooms complement the overall aesthetic beautifully. Great job! It would be beneficial to upgrade the mattresses as well!
Negative: The reception was very disappointing, with no explanations provided. I was simply told that there were no rooms available in the castle and directed to a nearby building, which had recently been renovated, resulting in a strong smell of paint and woollen carpets. Despite expressing my concerns about the gravel path and the need to carry my bags a considerable distance while feeling exhausted, I received no offer of assistance. Although the room has a lovely interior design, the mattress is extremely soft, which caused me back pain. The dinner experience at the restaurant in the evening was also unsatisfactory. Perhaps I had my expectations set too high! My overall impression was that the staff seemed to lack enthusiasm for their work, making customers feel fortunate if they even received a greeting! Additionally, everything is in Swedish, which poses challenges for any foreign visitors.
Summary: What a fantastic location - I hope the service quality will improve soon!

Positive: This mansion style property is located decently in the north west of Stockholm in a quiet suburb. The parking is free and ample. The hotel have a very quaint old english interior and the restaurant and food was good.
Negative: The walking paths to the reception located in the main building is gravel roads this is very hard to walk if like me you have a physical disability. There is also no designated disabled parking spots close to the accomodation. I was given a room in the nearby annex, again a fair walk across lawns and gravel paths and once arrived the staircase is very steep and there is no elevators. This building also boasted about having spa facilities and yet when I went to use them, the so called spa area was filled with building supplies and obviously have not been in use for a long time. Dinner was served in the main building restaurant which at the time had two large bookings meaning the staff struggled to seat additional guests and the waiting for service was long. The food was also quite expensive for the quality served. The accomodation per night was also quite pricey considering that a hotel located in the centre areas of Stockholm is priced around the same bracket. I also did not appeciate that I was not able to get a printed VAT receipt at the time onsite and was asked to email for a copy to be sent separately. Subsequently I had to email a half dussin times in order to get a response and finally receive the VAT receipt which is required for my business accounting.
Summary: Nice location, quaint hotel, however overpriced for the product they offer.

Positive: I loved the location, the castle and the food 👌
Negative: I didn’t realize that the room we booked was in a different place than the castle. They have yellow tree houses around the castle and these are where most guests stay. The spa and pool was also in a separate building and it’s smaller than it looks on the pictures. The changing room is extremely small with only one shower.

Positive: The castle was nice and the lake was nice. Good selection of tea. Breakfast was good.
Negative: It was very close to a busy road which you could hear from the castle, the rooms were far more basic than expected. You had to pay an extortionate amount to use the pool. Overall it did not reflect the images that the website provided and was not 4stars in my opinion. It was very basic and not luxurious.
Summary: If you are looking for a work conference this is a good place. If you are looking for a relaxing break, maybe not
