Positive: The castle was nice and the lake was nice. Good selection of tea. Breakfast was good.

Negative: It was very close to a busy road which you could hear from the castle, the rooms were far more basic than expected. You had to pay an extortionate amount to use the pool. Overall it did not reflect the images that the website provided and was not 4stars in my opinion. It was very basic and not luxurious.

Summary: If you are looking for a work conference this is a good place. If you are looking for a relaxing break, maybe not

Positive: Very good filling breakfast. Staff receptionist Ann and her team couldn't do enough for us such nice people. My only concern was lack of transport as all taxis cancelled at the last minute. Again the staff stepped in to drive us. Wonderful people. The other concern was that we expected to stay in the castle not the outbuildings. This should be stipulated in the brochures.

Negative: Sleeping in outbuildings instead of the actual castle. Lack of transportation to the remote location

Positive: Lejondale slott is unique hotel (18 century )with magnificent views on the lake , quit and peaceful for long cruise trip.

Negative: we love the place and everything was heaven until jimmy on reception told me the dinner is €7 ,I asked him twice and the price was confirmed so we had lunch and dinners for 2 nights for 13 guest and we discovered it was €52 per meal per guest .., that broke our budget and ruin our happy experience . Better to have clear price list for services like restaurant ,.... thy don't have transportation services and direct phone communications between room and reception .

Summary: I would go again but not considering the food services
