Positive: Location is good, breakfast is good, staff is friendly
Negative: I have stayed at Marriott hotels in China, India, Malaysia, and North Macedonia, but the Leipzig Marriott is the poorest Marriott property I have visited. The room lacked many basic amenities: there were no slippers, bathrobes, shaving kits, cotton swabs, toothbrushes or toothpaste, bar soap by the sink, sewing kits (needle and thread), or milk for coffee. In addition, when we arrived and checked into our room, we were unable to connect to the internet because our information had not been properly updated in the system by the receptionist. As a result, we had to go back downstairs to the reception desk and ask for assistance before we could access the Wi-Fi. This experience was disappointing and fell significantly below the standard I have come to expect from Marriott hotels.
Summary: Marriott Leipzig is not up to Marriott Worldwide level quality

Positive: Location and staff are perfect. Breakfast and breakfast restaurant are amazing.
Negative: Car park is underground with very narrow and awkward entry. It's not really suitable for SUVs and low sports cars or wider cars. It was expensive as well. Euro 22 per day for hotel guests. The swimming pool is very small and opening hours are completely strange. Whirlpool is not working and is tiny. Bedrooms are in need of new carpets and upholsteries. Our bedroom was missing slippers and bathrobes. The bed mattress was wobbly and sliding of the base. Must be old, just cover with the mattress topper. And please, why does nobody from the hotel staff see the bath silicones sealants all black and moldy. Big so-called Top Hotel of 2026, and I have no idea how come and why. That's my opinion
