Summary: Staff seemed very nice on check-in. I'm not a fan of hotels that have your room in a seperate building to the main facilities, and unfortunately this is the case here. To be fair though the receptionist could see my disappointment (the weather was awful so it meant getting rained on every time i went for food), and she did ask if i would prefer a room in the main building. I didn’t want to be fussy so i politely declined. The room was a little dissapointing for such a grand building. A bit soulless, but certainly spacious and adequate. Unfortunately for me the mattress was very firm and i ended up sleeping on top of pillows for comfort. For dinner i opted for soup of the day which was delicious, and then the breaded chicken with garlic green beans. It was basically a schnitzel, and was very tasty, but it seemed to be served on a bed of garlic oil which made the experience very greasy. Not brilliant. Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast with Sausages. Sausages were delicious. Unfortunately the Sourdough toast came out dry with no butter. Parking: 10/10 On-site & Free. Waiters: 10/10 Polite & Helpful. Reception:10/10 Polite & Helpful. Room: 7/10: Seperate building. Bland. Bed: 6/10: Hard Mattress. Shower: 6/10: Low pressure. Dinner: 6/10: Greasy & unhealthy Breakfast: 8/10: Flask Coffee & Dry Sourdough Overall 6.5/10

Summary: We. enjoyed a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were always eager to respond to our requests. The dinner menu, although well cooked and presented, lacked variety.

Summary: Beautiful location and great staff, the room was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice and good quality food. The only niggle was that I was on the second floor and there was no lift.

Summary: Good stay. They upgraded us which was nice. It was a nice stay and good breakfast. Cups not big enough for room coffee machine and no milk pods so not enough general milk left on room. Otherwise no problems.

Summary: It is ok for short trips. The temperature in the room is too hot. The hotel has lots of cobwebs above chandeliers etc.. The restaurant in the hotel Is just average. The stuff friendly.

Summary: Perfect for a stopover visiting bath. Room was good size and very large bathroom, but there was a slight musty smell and the bathroom was very cold as the only form of heating was the towel rail which wasn’t working properly. Lovely old building and very helpful staff.
Ros Dec 11, 2024 04:19:37 PM
Summary: We had a seamless, comfortable stay in a beautiful room - 35. I left behind and the hotel boxed it up for Royal Mail to collect and it was received within 3 days. Very pleased!

Summary: We stayed for 2 nights at the coach house, lovely spacious room and king size bed. The receptionist was very friendly on our arrival and took the time to show us 2 different rooms. The only slight moans I would have were, I had to call twice to ask for teabags to be replenished and the shampoo dispenser was terrible. Also, the room was cold in the morning when the heating went off. But those things didn’t spoil our time there. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again.
Jenny Nov 25, 2024 04:09:07 AM
Summary: An overnight stay and no breakfast but we were very comfortable. Our room was very clean and we were welcomed at reception. The building is interesting historically. We would definitely stay again.
Carolyn Nov 24, 2024 11:23:13 PM
Summary: Our room was at the top of the hotel and was spacious and comfortable but a bit cold. However, when we told the staff they immediately brought us an oil filled radiator which helped. We ate our evening meal here and it was tasty and hot. Breakfast buffet was a bit tired as we came down just after a coach of people had finished but the staff were very helpful and kept offering to fetch us anything we needed. All staff went out of their way to be helpful and we felt they were genuinely friendly. This was much nicer than a box chain hotel where all teh rooms are the same and it is all impersonal. If we need a hotel in the Bath area again we will defintely return. Reasonably priced and great to be in walking distance of stunning Bradford on Avon.
