Positive: The property size is really good. Plenty of dishes for large party. Views and wildlife are delectable.

Negative: I would have liked there to be the usual welcome package which all properties I have booked so far leave. Some leave basics like milk, tea and coffee and others add to the basics with biscuits, cakes and other treats. There was way too much dirt and dust under beds and under couch cushions. Shower leaked through ceiling. Patio door locked on itself so we were locked out at one point. Dishwasher was full to the brim with dishes, albeit clean but I don’t see why I should empty others dishes.

Positive: Fantastic location in a quiet wooded valley....with deer in the field below. The sun shone so we could sit outside on the patio after our walk. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of space.

Negative: The instruction book was hidden away and we didn't discover it until the day we left. We could not find the central heating controls. The oven is due for a clean inside.

Positive: Great house! Lovely setting. Down a steep hill in the car. You can walk into Hebden on a nice route or to Hardcastle crags

Negative: No kitchen supplies provided so make sure you bring your own essentials including milk, tea, etc

Positive: The cottage is absolutely gorgeous in a stunning location. You would never get bored of looking at the view, even when raining the mist rising from the forest opposite the cottage was very atmospheric. The kitchen was well equipped and.we soon felt completely relaxed and at home. The patio and garden have lots of space for the chidren to play and for.dogs (we have two border collies) to run around. You can walk from the doorstep down to the river and then along the riverbank into.Hebden Bridge - this is a.very pleasant 20.minute walk and we found the route on google maps. The town has all the shops.and bars you would need and lots are dog friendly.

Negative: Only a very small.niggle was the double mattress in the back bedroon could do with replacing not due to cleanliness but for comfort. The roads in the area are not the best for nervous drivers. The gardens are not completely secure for dogs, not a.problem for us but if your dog.has a tendency to.run off then it could be. The experience could further be enhanced with a couple of.comfy garden chairs as the furniture there.is fine to.sit out for a while but not that comfy. I could have sat there for hours in a recliner sun chair.
