Summary: Access to Whiteface and the view of the mountain were great but my room was filthy. Shower wasn’t cleaned and had soap all over shelves, toilet had been used when I got there, carpet was rough and the beds were pretty bad. If you are looking for down and dirty and cheapish, this might be for you.

Summary: Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! P.S. The room was so comfortable - a mix of ADK elegance and nostalgic usefulness!
