Positive: Our stay at Le Verger was excellent. We were visiting Giverny and the Palace of Versailles, so the location half way between each allowed us to stay in one place. Alix and her partner were great hosts, and communication with them was easy, even though our French is not great, and breakfast was excellent. At the end of each day we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace watching the sunset.
Summary: Le Verger is an excellent chambre d'hôtes and we would recommend it to other travellers.

Positive: Gorgeous place, everything was top class. A special treat was the outdoor shower on a very hot day. Tastefully decorated, comfortable bed. Good breakfast for cyclists.
Negative: Only problem for me was the climb at the end of a hot day but the shower made even that ok.

Positive: It's a lovely location, great for hiding away and staying in nature but close to Paris if you need or want to visit the city eventually. Plenty of beautiful sights to see around, avoiding traffic jams, hiking, and enjoying the castles and villas. I wish I had stayed longer, and maybe I will.
