5 Bedroom House in Amboise

A 2-minute drive from the city center, this residence was completely renovated in 2020 and classified as a 4-star furnished tourist accommodation, with all the equipment necessary for your comfort. We welcome you to this large house surrounded by two large landscaped gardens with private swimming pool and Spa, and its large terrace. You will appreciate its quality equipment, its decoration and its geographical location - in Amboise, close to the Loire castles. Ideal for a family stay.
Built in the 15th and 17th centuries, this house was notably the property of Geneviève Dehelly (contemporary pianist of Francis Poulenc).
We offer for rent this family house, in the heart of Amboise, to which the owners are very attached. For these reasons, it cannot be rented for festive events. Thank you for your understanding.
The house has 5 bedrooms for 12 beds (+ 2 extra beds for children under 4 years old).
It is composed on the ground floor:
-Entrance and cloakroom
-Large living room with fireplace, piano and connected TV
-Large dining room overlooking the garden and patio
-Equipped kitchen: induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine, American fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, crockery, basic necessities, etc.
-Lingerie with washing machine and dryer
-Two separate toilets
-Two bedrooms with Queen size beds overlooking the garden, one of which has a TV.
-Two bathrooms
On the first floor, you will find:
-A bedroom with Queen size bed (with TV)
-A bedroom with a King size bed that can be separated into 2 single beds
-A dormitory room with 2 bunk beds and 1 single bed (+1 extra bed)
-A bathroom with WC
Particular care was taken in the choice of high-end bedding made in France. The duvets and pillows were made in Amboise.
Outside :
A vast landscaped walled garden laid out in the French style, with lawns, flower beds, fruit trees, rows of vines, lime trees... A large terrace adjoining the house will allow you to enjoy meals outside. A 5-seater jacuzzi awaits you to relax after a day of sightseeing. An outdoor play area (hut, slide, swings, etc.) for children is at your disposal.
A patio is in the center of the house. You can sit there peacefully to have a coffee, some reading time next to the water lily pond, the wisteria...
Simply crossing the street, a large private swimming pool (10X3.5m) awaits you in a garden protected by hedges, open and heated from May to September. It is surrounded by a terrace and trees from which you can pick fruit in season. A carport allows you to park your vehicles under cover.
Reception and handing over of keys are by prior appointment, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Departure is no later than 10:00 a.m.

Summary: A wonderful 10 days with friends. Much to love about the house and the surrounding area. Swimming pool is set on the other side of the road which was great for us as it meant it was extra safe for children. Alexandre is a fantastic host, thank you!

Summary: We have just returned from a wonderful stay, two families of four with kids from 3-9. The house is fabulous, very spacious, more than enough room for the two families not to feel on top of each other. We spent most mornings busy and afternoons by the pool, there is lots to do nearby and the town is around a 20 minute walk away. The pool is super secure, which was a great relief with a 3 year old in tow! The house is very very well equipped, we enjoyed bbq or outdoor eating for most meals, and also ate out a couple of times. Supermarkets nearby which are very easy to get to, there were even shopping bags to take to bring it all back! I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful house to any families looking for a stay that has everything.

Summary: Nice large property, good location and great host. Alexandre is prompt and helpful. Going above and beyond, he even made a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant that we could not reach by phone or internet. I’d stay again and would recommend this property to others.

Summary: Having access to a fairly large outdoor lot along with the pool and swingset and outdoor table made gave us even more space than is available inside. The entire family with age ranges from 3-70 enjoyed our stay in Amboise. Located a little out of town but very drivable or walkable.
