Positive: Everyone was so nice! Right in the plaza. Be aware that you can only drive to unload and load during certain parts of the day. The restaurant was great too! Recommend!

Positive: In Short, This Hotel is Amazing. At first you'd think it was amazing due to panoramic views of the restaurant or the warm and smile filled welcome from the staff. The room is beautiful and whichever way your room faces you will not be disappointed by the view, we were facing the street and waking up to the view of Gruyeres and the bell from the chateau (don't worry it doesn't start until 6.30am) is a happy place to be. The bed is really comfortable and the Shower and Tea and Coffee making facilities are top tier! Our first meeting was Anna on Reception, we couldn't believe how kind and friendly she was and made us feel so ridiculously welcome. We had dinner in their restaurant twice, the food WAS that good. Served by Hitchem the first night and Anthony the second, they were both so friendly and attentive, we couldn't have been happier. Throughout our stay we were welcomed and helped by either Sophia, Antonio and Alex who were always around working hard but constantly with a smile and such genuinely kind people. The Place is perfect and the Staff here are an absolute credit to it.

Negative: That we had to leave at the end of our stay.

Positive: The location in the centre of the village is very good. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the dining area gives great views out of the panoramic windows. We had breakfast and an evening meal here and both were good. The rooms were very comfortable and plenty big enough for us for 2 days visiting Gruyère. The staff were helpful and polite whenever we spoke with them and they all spoke multiple languages, which helped us a lot as we don't speak French very well.

Negative: The bathroom was a little bit dated and we would have liked to have a better shower (there is only a shower head attachment on the wall over the bath, which was too low for us to stand beneath). But, a modern bathroom would not have been in keeping with the old-world feel of the hotel and village.

Positive: The hotel and room were very clean and had all the amenities we required. The restaurant food was excellent - the fondue especially! The hotel is very close to all the museums and challet. I would like to mention how great the staff were. They were very attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable.

Negative: Everything was excellent. I would not change a thing
