Positive: The property is very tastefully done. It is quite an aesthetic blend of traditional and modern structures. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Negative: The restuarant and bar must have air conditioning. It was very sultry and hot , therefore having food in the heat was very uncomfortable. The dining area was open like a large extended verandah. Therefore, it was inviting the crows and flies even mosquitoes. The dining area of any five star property must have combinations of both AC and outdoor or non AC seating arrangements .

Negative: They were running short of white towels The corridors at room is often filled with birds excreta. They need to increase periodicity of cleaning corridors wherever needed. I was told Pool snooker was under maintenance

Positive: We had a wonderful stay al Le Pondy. The rooms were delightful with a baranda outside with an overhead fan. The staff was attentive to our needs and wants. The message at the Ayurveda center was excellent. Walking on the beach to see the fishermen and especially the sunrise was memorable. We highly recommend Le Pondy.

Summary: It was a great introduction to India after our long flight from NY.
