Positive: Location was excellent a couple of minutes walk to the centre of the old town. Breakfast was included and involved walking into the old town and having complimentary coffee and croissant at the local very elegant coffee shop/pasticceria. The staff there got to know us so we didn’t even have to give them our coffee orders. Our hosts, Elisabetta & Luigi were delightful and ensured we had everything we needed including recommendations for restaurants.

Negative: There’s a courtyard to sit in & relax but no balcony or view. The town is very very quiet (in September) which we loved but some might find too quiet. It’s a great location for day trips to both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts

Positive: The rooms were clean and very well furnished. Very comfortable bathroom, with a great shower. The hotel itself is located just a few steps from the nice and cozy city center. Great breakfast in the café near the hotel in an absolutely beautiful place.

Negative: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Positive: Gorgeous room in a lovely house near the historic center. Room was impeccably furnished and very clean. Hostess was friendly, warm and helpful.

Negative: Google maps did not recognize this street (or alley), so I couldn’t find the house when I arrived in Specchia. Would be helpful if the host provided directions using locatable streets and then a written description to locate the house. I also was not able to reach the host over the phone. A very kind local gentleman went to the trouble of locating the host’s mother in a nearby shop and she contacted her daughter-in-law. Also the property advertised breakfast, which turned out to be a coupon for coffee and a pastry at a local bakery a couple blocks away. Probably they should not call this a B&B and raise expectations.

Specchia is such a stunning little town, so worth visiting and this hotel was impeccable. I work in the tourism industry and was so totally impressed by everything!
