Positive: Excellent breakfast. Scrambled eggs and toast, ham and cheese, pastries, the best baguettes, home-made jams, local apple juice, fruit and much more. No need for lunch!

Negative: Nothing. It was perfect.

Positive: The property was superb in a gorgeous location right next to the river. Lots of history in the building, lovely tastefully decorated bedroom and a very nice wood panelled dining room. The grounds were spacious and our dogs enjoyed them too.

Positive: The hotel is extremely characterful, it is set in a stunning location with beautiful grounds. Dinner was lovely and the breakfast was also very nice with lovely bread and croissants in generous amounts. The lady in charge was very friendly and welcoming, as were her staff. Overall our experience was wonderful.

Negative: Nothing. Everything was excellent.

Summary: As we were leaving, we both wished we could stay longer.

Positive: the location is beautiful and scenic, along a tributary of the seine. the hotel is beautifully and luxuriously decorated (our room had silk walls) and wifi was good. we had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. breakfast was perfect with delicious coffee, croissants, baguette, fruit juice and yoghurt.

Negative: we're in our 60s, and the climb up two steep flights of stairs wasn't great with luggage.
