Positive: Beautiful setting in a rural location. Gite was very French & the gardens were stunning. Private gite & Marie & Emmanuel were extremely helpful

Negative: We had to get in the car for everything.

Positive: The property is a very pretty, well maintained cottage with private parking for one car. It is comfortable and well equipped. The nearby boulangerie in Sottevast was a fantastic (and very regular) stop for bread and pastry treats too! The cottage owners Marie and Emmanuel are very friendly and welcoming and checked on us from time to time to make sure we were happy.

Negative: It didn’t affect us, as none of us are tall, but low beams and a low ceiling at the bottom of the stairs could catch out taller guests. The weather wasn’t great but that’s nobody’s fault - the chance you take in northern France!

Summary: A comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
