Positive: The Chateau literally takes your breath away when you arrive. The location is as if you are in a fairy tale! The member of staff who was exceptional was the lady at breakfast - I wish we could have bottled up her lovely happy temperament. She was a joy!

Negative: Apart from the lovely staff member mentioned above, we found the staff slightly cold and curt. I feel the reception staff could have been more helpful upon arrival. It felt as though they were going through the motions and were quick to point you to your room. They were not particularly friendly and seemed to display little interest in their guests. L'Atelier food was average. It didn't seem to fit with the Chateau. We expected more from the food and were somewhat disappointed particularly as this was the only option available for guests to eat in L'Etoges. Again, there was little interaction or friendliness displayed by the staff here too.

Positive: Five star, from the moment you arrive. The staff are friendly helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Restaurant well worth a visit

Positive: lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff. having a restaurant on site was great. food very good.

Negative: we were on our way to Calais and booked last minute. loved the hotel, even though it was quite a distance from the motorway it was definitely worth the drive.
