Positive: We absolutely loved the location being so close to Caen's historic sites, a variety of eateries and supermarkets. We loved the quiet location in the evening sitting outside in the garden. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic for fans of world war 2 history.

Negative: There was nothing we didn't like. We only had an issue with opening the front door. There was a knack to it that took about 15 mins to work out. That was probably just us!

Summary: Beautiful yellow stone house in quiet setting but within walking distance of all amenities.

Positive: We had the whole house to ourselves, which was nice and relaxing. It had a small private gated yard and private parking area. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The heating system worked perfectly. Cozy decorations provided a home feeling.

Negative: 1. Some of the bed sheets and duvet covers smell. 2. The washing machine didn’t work, with leftover water inside.

Negative: We had plans to do laundry during our trip but it was not possible as the clothes washing machine was not working. Would have been nice to have spare linen and towels since laundry was not possible.

Positive: Good size for family if 4 . Good kitchen and lounge area . Nice layout and design , could use a little freshen up . Good location to explore the region, we travelled to D-Day beaches , Bayeux , all easily reached . Caen interesting to explore with plenty of restaurant options a short walk from the house also .

Negative: Overall we had a good week , but some comments on aspects we thought could be improved a little, Facilities a little limited, we purchased some cleaning products, refuse sacks , pizza trays as those were not provided . It would be useful to provide some more instructions for equipment - for oven , TV , coffee machine. We had some trial and error with oven , could not find main French TV channels, could not get coffee machine to work. Bathrooms had two showers upstairs, head height in main bathroom shower low , only one toilet upstairs, second toilet downstairs , a little awkward at night time . Garage is useful , we had small SUV which just fitted into the space available. Joining instructions received were clear , but would prefer to receive earlier, we got them by 2.20pm on day of arrival for planned arrival time 3pm . Similarly would prefer leaving instructions earlier at least day before departure. We left early for our flight and read only at the airport, luckily everything in line. Overall good, some small changes would make it better.
