Positive: Very Nice and large breakfast. No other customers ,so private. Quiet with clean air. Comfy bed, big tub. Bargain price during the week. I enjoy faded splendor and this had that.

Negative: Strange atmosphere. Empty and somewhat Overlook Hotel-like. They made me change rooms, and wanted to put me in a smaller room with a worse view until I complained. Then I got a large suite with dim lightning and no view. The pool was once nice but is in disrepair. Mildew. Dead snails, a dead frog, and plenty of leaves floating in it. But the were still obsessed with the swimming caps. Hair is not on the list of problems. Check in had the flat affect of a sociopath.

Positive: Extremely run down, was probably a nice hotel 20 years ago but the owner obviously hasn’t spent any money on it for a long long time.

Negative: Meals were supposed to be buffet, but as there were not enough guests it was a set meal option. Not ideal for the kids as they had very limited choice of what to eat. We weren’t informed about this until arrival.

Summary: Would be great 20 years ago, give it a miss until any work has been done on it.

Positive: Beautiful bouquet of flowers in the entrance. Massive entrance hall to the hotel, high ceilings. Lots of facilities. we missed last orders for food but they especially cooked for us. Beds were firm which was great for my bad back. There is also a softplay room which was nice for the kids and there is a decent looking gym 👍

Negative: The facilities albeit are many and available look a bit tired (old). the sauna was not in operation and the steam room was not warm enough. the outdoor pool was nice but cooler in the colder months (children were in and out).

Positive: Great option for lodging before heading into the mountains. The parking was great and the walk along the nearby reservoir was fantastic.

Negative: We only stayed for a very short time and didn’t try the breakfast or pool. There was some nice but loud music outside our room until about 10pm.

Positive: Quiet environment! Hotel offer everything to make you feel good. Afternoon tea,vouchers for playing some game were part of the room fee. The gym is very good for a Hotel. They also have bike available for free.
