Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property was well maintained, is almost brand new. Very clean bathrooms. Efficient kitchen. We had spare plastic bags, spare scott towels, AC worked well, jaccuzzi worked well, beds were comfortable... very functional and clean place.

Negative: The property ended up being overbooked somehow. The code to the door that was outrageously simple was given to someone else (we had booked with booking.com and someone else was still able to book and get the code from airbnb). 2am, someone knocks at the door and unlocks it whilst my friends, my wife and my children were sleeping. Tried to reach out to the owners. Got no answers. Was able to convince the people to leave. Finally was able to get an answer at 10 am to my repeated calls from 'Fortune", someone located from outside Canada although the phone number for support was a 581 area code number (region of Quebec city). They sent someone within 90 minutes to change the code which was appreciated. Could not be informed if they made a mistake or someone was able to scam the owners and produce a advertisement on airbnb pretending they were the owners and providing this stupidly easy access code. I don't have an answer to this day.

Summary: Home invasion during what could have been a close to perfect stay.
