Positive: - the setting - beautiful nature around, horses, loads of games for groups & families - the staff were lovely - the location - the breakfast was good (was missing a bit of fruit perhaps, but mostly good)
Negative: - We were told we needed to upgrade our room because we had a baby (unforeseen cost on a non refundable reservation), which was posted nowhere on booking.com. Ended up getting that refunded as we hadn’t been told before booking - I appreciated the gesture on the hotel’s part, but it still left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths - no air conditioning in the rooms - tough to sleep when it was 30* degrees every day - dinner at the restaurant was poor - extremely slow service, wrong items twice, overcooked food. Not a good memory + it wasn’t cheap

Positive: Gorgeous property, lovely interior design in the bedroom. Very nice to be able to enjoy the wellness area when renting a room.
Negative: Dirty steam bath and not super clean nordic bath. Could be helpful to put a small net next to each bath for customers to remove the dead insects. Was woken up by the housekeepers singing in the hallway in the morning. Not so nice when you pay this price for a room and you're woken up by the staff. Restaurant younger staff was lovely but not yet very experienced in responding quicker to customer's requests.
Summary: Lovely but small improvements would make a big difference.

Positive: Restaurant was excellent - eating outside every evening
Negative: We were there for five days and the menu did not change in that time. There was nowhere nearby to go and eat as an alternative.
