Positive: The hosts were delightful and go the extra mile (or indeed, extremely kindly drive the extra kilometres to you if - like me - you cycle off without your wallet!) The rooms comfortable. The dinner and breakfast copious and delicious.

Negative: Like many older properties, it lacks good sound insulation, recommend guests who are sensitive to noise bring earplugs.

Positive: Exceptional, truly exceptional. As frequent users of B&B’s and hotels throughout Europe Le Balcon des Jasses in Espere must be one of the very best, if not THE BEST, that we have ever experienced. From the first ‘Hello’ to the last ‘Goodbye’ the service and attention to details was outstanding. Leif and Lucy are fantastic hosts. Everything possible was done to make my wife and I as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The evening meal and the following breakfast were incredible, Lucy is an amazing cook. The room was comfortable, clean and very inviting with little details seldom seen in other B&B’s. Worth every penny. We will definitely return.
