Summary: In January with no snow to play in Greer is a very, very quiet village. The winter restaurants open only from Friday-Saturday. So we brought our own food for our mid week trip. We did not get the cabin we selected since there was an electrical problem. The cabin we got was Aspen. Which was overall fine. Had a few issues we made the staff aware of. That needed fixing. But did not impact our stay so they could deal with them after we left. Not having an indoor wood fire was fine. Since the propane fireplace did provide the needed heat. As well as the individual heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms. We have been to Greer in the summer and it is pretty packed. Very tourist oriented. A relaxing trip.

Summary: when i come to Greer, I always stay at the Lazy Trout Big 10 cabins (Lost resort) because they are usually very very clean. Other cabins I've stayed at will be dusty with hairs on the sheets/blankets or the sheets/blankets smell like they haven't been washed. Not at the Big 10 cabins. Very well dusted, even the blinds, top of fridge, bed frame, etc. Bathroom is super clean, no hairs or dirt. Bed is comfortable and bedding is super clean, even the blankets and comforters. These cabins do not have the fanciest furniture. However, they are very clean, they are maintained, they are a great location. I have never had a bad stay here, which is more than i can say for other places.
