Positive: Very clean, comfortable apartment, Very close to the beach.

Negative: I booked and paid in full 3 months in advance and on our arrival was informed that work was being done, but noise will be minimal. Well if plastering walls and laying tiles from 08:00 till sometimes 20:00 is minimal then I seem to have been taken advantage of. It was not the relaxing holiday at the see I was hoping for. I am extremely disappointed, and feel the host should have communicated it from onset. Why chance a bad review for €640. I think a reimbursement is called for. I would suggest when booking always ask if renovations or work around the apartment are being carried out.

Positive: The apartment was great for a few days stay and we loved Lavra as a place. Very quiet and local after a busy few days in Porto. Lovely in dec as so quiet. Right by the beach with lots of walks and great fish restaurants too within walking distance. Everything was very clean and orderly. Not very touristy which we loved. While there is no private parking there is space right outside to park for free.

Negative: While most of the photos were accurate the owner has put a roof on the open back space making the living room & kitchen very dark. Not quite sure why but we would have preferred it to be open as in the booking.com photos. While we knew there wasn’t a view to the beach we did think it had a private open space. The listing says it has a washing machine which we really wanted but there isn’t one. There is however a launderette literally 1 minute away which was easy to use. The photos of the back space should be updated to show the back yard space now it is roofed. That said we still had a great stay.

Positive: This house was perfect for two pilgrims looking for a cozy retreat! It had all the amenities we could possibly need, nice kitchen, fantastic bathroom, and comfortable beds. The restaurant across the street was great, and we appreciated having a grocery store and laundromat within a few minutes' walk. We didn't realize that the two-bedroom unit had no view, but the pictures were all perfectly accurate. That was our error! The beach is literally right next door, so we enjoyed the sunset from there. The host's communication was excellent, and I'd definitely stay here again!
