Positive: Towels and bedding clean and fresh. Sitting room was comfortable.

Negative: Sitting room; Multiple Cobwebs including numerous dead spiders. Socket not fixed safely to wall. Kitchen; tea towel and oven glove dirty/used. Glasses in particular were dirty. Work surface not properly clean. Floors gritty. Snail In the kitchen. No bin. Front door lock difficult. Garden; completely neglected. 2 very dirty chairs provided amongst over grown weeds. Conservatory: skirting board coming off. Table cloth dirty. Old flowers in a vase. Door unable to lock. Checking in; incomplete address details sent and lock box code incorrect. Had to ring contact number for the correct details.

Positive: I was in the area on a work trip and the Lavender cottage was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day! The cottage itself was incredibly comfortable and well furnished. Outside the cottage, the garden/surrounding countryside were beautiful. The address was easy to find and parking was available right out front. The binder of information was a nice touch and answered any questions I had about the cottage (ie how to turn the heat on). I felt so at home during my stay that it was bittersweet when I had to checkout. I would gladly stay here next time I'm in the area!

Positive: Lovely character cottage. Very comfy beds. Probably OK in the summer.

Negative: VERY COLD. House was FREEZING upon arrival and for the first night. We managed to override the heating timer, but the temperature still didn't raise above 15 degrees. Take slippers, as the floors are vert cold. The boiler was making a strange whistling noise, which could be heard from outside. The shower is very weak, and not fit for purpose. OK for a night or so, but wouldn't stay longer. The handle on the kitchen door is also broken, so don't close it!

Summary: Probably OK in the summer months
