Here at the Redwood Retreat, you will find a beautiful forest road leading to a stunning 23-acre property with its own serene pond and winding walking trails with nature abound. This location is perfect for those who enjoy being surrounded by the rich diversity of Northern California’s natural world including the famous Redwood forests while still being able to access all that the area has to offer.
Located right between San Jose and Santa Cruz and a 10 min drive on a beautiful mountain road off highway 17.
This spacious studio is located in a gated property with a lush (and massive) backyard. Here you will find a beautiful, clean, and artsy guest suite with a modern glass-walled bathroom. The apartment has a kitchenette with the essentials to prepare quick healthy meals. There is a full size fridge, microwave, small oven, portable hot plates cooktop. There is NO stove or range top! Please No heavy cooking with spices.
Sleeping area setup with a queen bed. There is a closet with hangers and a dresser if needed.
Additional rules
- Pets are NOT allowed. Bringing a pet without authorization forfeits your deposit and you will be asked to check-out early without a refund.
- We kindly request that there be no parties or drug use.
- Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside by the fountain.
- No swimming, boating or fishing in the pond.
- No Shoes Inside the home please!
- Only light cooking.
- No Unregistered Guest: only the specific guests are allowed on the premises. - No group gatherings other than registered guests. If you have any extra guests, we will charge you from your deposit $70 per additional guest
- Will be an additional 'linen' charge $30 for two people who use sofa beds and that guests must request the extra bed before booking.
- The spa area is available for use up to 1.5 hours for each booked night.*

Summary: we absolutely loved this property. perfect for couples looking to get away and for relaxation. very secluded while still being close to necessities. perfect placement as well between santa cruz and the main city of los gatos.

Summary: Elena & Oleg were perfect, communicative hosts. We unfortunately arrived close to 10pm, but they were kind enough to wait for us to show us briefly around the property and explain details (they even helped us bring our takeout dinner into the place & personally delivered water bottles for us when we were unsure of if we could drink from the tap)! HUGE points especially for the spa. Oleg said they just finished making it recently, and it was absolutely perfect (sauna, cold bath, jacuzzi, music, essential oil diffusers). It was my husband’s first spa experience and he was blown away. Thank you so much to Oleg & Elena, again. We loved the stay, and know you will too!

Summary: Was absolutely awesome. Host got us flowers, left a bottle of wine in the room, gave a tour of the property. The room was clean and comfortable. It was truly lovely. I just wish the spa, hot tub and pool was constructed and ready... I guess we'll just have to come back!

Summary: A beautiful, eclectic studio we rented for a concert in the area. The drive is curvy and at night slow going. Also the bathroom is not as private as some would want, but has beauty. The host was attentive and warm.

Summary: Retreat is a recognized military tactic, but it applies to leisure time as well. This place a strategic retreat. Quiet, beautiful and isolated. Pack up some good food and wine because you are not going to want to leave once you navigate the winding road through the Santa Cruz mountains and get here. The grounds are lovely and the accommodations nicely done and more than comfortable. This is a place for quiet walks, leisurely meals and sitting in the shade enjoying the breeze.

Summary: This studio was ideal for us. For all being in one room, the studio is excellently laid out, and incredibly clean. With an electric kettle and hot plate- you can nearly get along like you have a full kitchen! We immediately felt at home, and loved how quiet and restful it was. It is quite the drive up the mountain. Any guest planning to run in and out of town may not find it the best fit, but if you want a gorgeous mountain experience this is the place for you.
