Positive: Beautiful property, gorgeous grounds and views. Super homely and cosy.

Negative: No instructions on how to check in, so tried the door handle and walked into the cottage. Electric had tripped, so I had to fumble about in the pitch black to find the fuse board. Couldn’t contact anybody as there is no WiFi or phone signal. Beware of the raised and loose stones when coming through the gates, they have pierced a hole in my exhaust pipe. No shampoo, conditioner or milk. Considering the price we paid, you’d expect the basics to be provided.

Summary: Not the greatest unfortunately. Electrics didn’t work properly, car damaged by loose and raised stone slabs, and no kitc

Positive: Very kind owners, if wanting to go to alton towers it’s not that far from the property. Teas, coffee and sugars provided and plenty of plates and cups.

Negative: The upstairs on-suite bathroom sink was slightly dirty, had to wipe it over and had some struggle flushing the toilet upstairs.

Positive: Great stay! Would definitely return. The cottage was so cosy and and homely and very well kept. The area is very peaceful. My boys loved having their own private garden to run about. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Negative: Kids would say WIFI but I enjoyed watching them play. It was bitter sweet :)

Positive: It was spacious and quiet, the area was stunning and close to Alton towers where we were going for the weekend. It was beautifully decorated and gave a home from home feel. It had a large garden for private use. The owner allowed us to have a late check out.

Negative: The road to get in and out was tight, where you cannot fit 2 cars down. No internet, but that was also a plus as it was nice to see the kids playing Games and laughing, and interacting with one another.

Summary: Overall an excellent stay, would definitely stay again.
