Positive: We were self-catering. The cottage is in a very pretty village, so we enjoyed walking around. The location was very good for the North Norfolk coast villages and beaches.

Negative: We are used to slightly wider beds and I rolled into the middle! Other than that, the cottage was beautifully done and very comfortable. All the equipment was easy to use, which is handy when you are staying somewhere you don't know.

Summary: A fabulous cottage in a great location with very helpful and friendly hosts. We loved our stay.

Positive: Everything … it was perfect for what we needed. It was comfortable, warm, well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated/furnished

Negative: Nothing … if I had to choose one thing (& that’s being “picky”) it was the fact the garden was overlooked by the neighbours. It didn’t affect us but in the summer you may feel a little over exposed when sitting in the garden. But as I say, it’s a very picky point.

Summary: Simply perfect - would definitely recommend.

Positive: Modern facilities with good heating and kitchen equipment. Separate living room and kitchen. Two good bedrooms. Great easy access to spectacular beaches, country houses and excellent restaurants.

Negative: Beds were a bit too soft. Pity the village only had one pub.

Positive: Lapwing Cottage is like a home from home, but with all the extra details you’d want from a holiday stay. The location in Docking is perfect for visiting all the main coastal and village spots between Snettisham and Wells all within 15 mins. Plus some lovely local dog walks from the front door, as mentioned in the info book from the owner. The cottage itself has everything you need, all immaculately maintained with lovely personal touches and accessories. The cosy living room with doors out to the lovely sunny garden, comfy sofas and good tv setup. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. Main bedroom is a great size, again so well decorated, with great storage and two mirrors which is always a bonus! Blinds kept it nice and dark for sleeping. Also fans provided, which for a warm September night was useful. Bathroom tidy and great shower, with more storage / shower holder etc. Easy to find and plenty of parking right in front. Perfect for dogs, secure and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again.
