Positive: The place is beautiful, clean and well decorated. Entire place was well heated and comfortable Good location in countryside yet very close to Mikkeli center. The Host was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent

Positive: Charming mansion tastefully decorated with great lawn, exceptionally fine saunas, lovely lake to go swimming whenever you wished. All kinds of activiteis related to country life and water. Very calm even if there is a major train line behind the water and the magnificent trees. Did not disturb us at all. The German-Finnish hosts created a relaxed international feeling of an old world boarding house. Their sardinian cook produced very good meals. Close enough to visit Mikkeli, a very interesting town especially because of the museums Muisti and Jalkaväkimuseo which are worth coming from afar even if you were not specially interested in the wartime history. Many other interesting places in Mikkeli also. A perfect stay at Landhaus Kekkola.

Positive: Nice countryside location and interesting and different hotel. Very nice breakfast with local foods. Very friendly staff. Safe for solo travellers. Parking near. This is for you who is not looking for stays in the chain hotels.

Negative: Walls are very thin and it is an old house. The rooms are on the 2nd floor (narrow stairs and doorways, no elevator).

Positive: Oh, we loved this old manor house! We just needed an overnight stay on our way north and picked one of the first places we found. We didn’t expect such a lovely manor with classic old furniture. It’s great that it’s a bit outside of town - the surroundings are really peaceful, and the night sky was beautiful. The bonus was the very good breakfast!

Negative: It’s an old wooden house, and sound carries really easily through the walls. We arrived late and only realized it in the morning. My apologies to the neighbors!
