Positive: Fantastic stay, very friendly staff. Room was exceptional. Hotel has small spa and great walking routes in the forest around it so there is plenty of activities to do and relax. Amazing restaurants in the hotel offer great selection of dishes.

Positive: This is a beautiful place with well-maintained grounds and plenty of opportunities for walking and enjoying nature.

Negative: Unfortunately, during my two-day stay, the reception staff were unable to arrange a table for one person in the restaurant. On King’s Day, I can understand that the restaurant was fully booked, but the same happened the following day. I believe that if a hotel considers itself a high-quality hospitality venue, it should take care of its guests and reserve at least a few tables for hotel guests. The spa is in need of renovation. Some areas are noticeably worn out and no longer meet the standards one would expect. The breakfast is on the borderline between having too little variety and being average in quality. There is definitely room for improvement. I also felt that the attitude toward foreign guests was not particularly welcoming. The smiles and friendliness often seemed forced rather than genuine.

Positive: We had a fantastic weekend away at Landgoed, enjoying the scenery and facilities, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The Bistro was fantastic for a casual lunch (and in-room dining) and De Heeren van Harinxma was exquisite.

Positive: The hotel is fantastic. The staff is great and very accommodating. We’ve come to the property with a dog. Our room was prepared with two dog bowls, and dog treats. Great attention to detail on their part.

Positive: The location is beautiful. Perfect for dog owners or for people who enjoy a stroll in the nature, as the forest is very extensive. The golf course is lovely. Some staff were very friendly (special shoutout to Karim, who was lovely).

Negative: The spa should be renovated. The steam room should be bigger, the gym room is a bit sad looking. They could have some lighter weights available. The majority of the toilets only had hand sanitizers (no sink with soap). There were no sauna/steam room appropriate towels and no spa slippers available at all (which should be in the rooms). Some staff were a bit rude (the lady in charge of the breakfast). We came slightly late to our time slot, but still within the closing time and she didn’t even bother to offer us any coffee/tea, nor ask us if we wanted anything from the menu. We had to get the attention of a younger staff member who was very nice and helpful. The Bistro has lovely food and we could have eaten there every day (very delicious). The Harinxma restaurant was not to our taste. There were a few details that were missed from our initial request before arriving. Overall the service could improve to really make the stay unforgettable.

Summary: Not an unforgettable experience, but it was a pleasant stay, we would return.
