Positive: The staff were great, and very helpful in solving problems. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the forested garden. The location was awesome for biking and walking in the forest. The wellness area was very nice with a pool, several saunas and a hot tub. We also enjoyed the unimposing hotel architecture, which is all single storey and integrates well into the landscape.

Negative: Dinner was quite expensive and a little too formal for our tastes. Getting a taxi to and from the hotel was quite challenging.

Negative: Very very dark room. Connecting door to next room and we could hear each other moving around and conversations.

Summary: Very different experience second time staying here. Nb. Not all rooms are created equally!

Positive: Big enough rooms with the calmness of the woods. The spa is also nice for a relaxing stay after exploring the surrounding areas. The breakfast is very good, although not exceptional and you have options for drinks and dinner at the restaurant/bar for the evening.

Negative: The windows lack insect nets and you can expect plenty of these during spring/summer.

Summary: A nice getaway from the city or a base station to explore the region by car/bike

Positive: It was good, but we missed the ‘soul’ in the hotel. There was no creativity and personality in the accommodation…we missed for such a mansion the ‘extras’. It was for us a missed opportunity for making the difference on this level of hotel. You can make this property a way more joyable.

Negative: We had thought the hotel would be more decorated, given its allure and location. It was disappointing.

Summary: Everything was there. We enjoyed the wellness. Otherwise it had nothing more than a 3 star hotel
