Positive: Location was lovely and the cottage was furnished well. the living room had good radiators but still felt chilly at times due to the size of the room . The peacocks in the garden were beautiful

Negative: The house was quite cold on arrival and the living area still felt chilly at times even when all other rooms were warm. Radiators worked well and there were lovely throws to use too so it was not a problem. The kitchen was very small but functional for our brief stay . A note regarding recycling would have been useful .

Summary: Very comfortable for a short stay. Great location to visit many Northumberland sites.

Negative: It was rather cold, the radiators needed to come on much earlier in the morning to warm the house before you get up.

Positive: An amazing secluded quiet location and a very comfortable, cosy, well appointed cottage which suited us perfectly welcomed by a helpful , friendly host next door . If not self catering anyone staying needs a car or taxi to get to the nearest pub/restaurant at Riding Mill

Negative: Nothing - although better directions would have been helpful.
