Positive: The perfect location with a view to the lake! We just booked a little bit late and ended up in a nice room but without private bathroom, just to keep in mind during winter because you have to go outside :) besides that, we loved it! Perfect ver as I said

Positive: It's not the facility that you pay for, it's the views. It's worth every dollar. Great location as well, easy access to restaurants, gas and supermarket.

Negative: The rooms are a compact, less space to walk around but overall for the views you get, it's doable.

Positive: We had our own little cabin that overlooked the lake , we had a great view , however, the row of cabins in front of us had an unobstructed view. Some cabins were behind some trees so they couldn't see the lake . The location is great , close to walk into town. We did the hike that was super close to the cabin and it was great , also went to the hot springs just a short walk away . The best thing we did was took a plane ride over to the glaciers and over Lake Tekapo, it was worth the money , do it ! Just walk into town and you will see the store front for scenic helicopter and small plane rides , it was fantastic !

Negative: The room was hot during the day ( we were gone most of it ) no air conditioning . they provide a fan , but no screen door on the slider . it did cool off nicely at night . Staff were not particularly friendly , not rude , just matter of fact here's your stuff , not much communication.

Summary: Lake Tekapo is great , 2 days here and you've seen it all .

Positive: Very comfortable and clean cabin inside. Very helpful staff.

Negative: Even the location is in front of the lake there were many trees in front of our cabin. The bbq and the outside furniture were very dirty
