The Golden Saddle is a beautiful, custom-built log home on the west side of Wallowa Lake. It's perfect for your family vacation, a couples' getaway, or a romantic weekend, offering an expansive deck with breathtaking views of Wallowa Lake, the Eagle Cap Wilderness, and the awe of the east moraine.
Step inside to find four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and incredible views and workmanship throughout. Downstairs, there's a tiled great room with a large flatscreen TV, a game table, and a pool table for your nightly entertainment. The main level boasts newly refinished hardwood floors and a recently remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. The living area offers another, smaller flatscreen TV, leather furnishings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and sliding glass doors that open onto an expansive deck overlooking Wallowa Lake and your own private boat dock.
The primary suite on the main level offers an adjoining bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a stand-alone shower. The downstairs bedroom has an adjoining bath with a large, tiled shower. The upper level is home to two more bedrooms as well. At night, you'll settle into comfortable beds, luxurious bed linens, and high-quality bath towels and rugs in each bathroom. Your comfort is our top priority!
THINGS TO KNOW
Seasonal private docks are typically placed for Memorial Day thru Labor Day. These are placed and pulled by a 3rd party and several variables come into play such as lake levels, snow and company availability. We do our best, but these items are non refundable items if a problem occurs with their timing of putting in the water and pulling from the water.
Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
No cable service, but there is a media streaming device/DVD/VCR.
The stairs down to the boat dock are steep.
This is a no-shoes home on the main floor and upper floor; please pack accordingly.
No fires or firepits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions.

Summary: Very nice, fun house but smelt like marijuana during our stay. We contacted customer service and they acknowledged the house sometimes smells from the vents. Nothing was done to address our concern but it made us question if the smell was something unsanitary...

Summary: The stay was amazing and very relaxing. Cabin had all the amenities needed. Highly recommend staying here. Was a challenge getting out even with a 4 wheel drive and chains. Had to be winched out. Was able to leave the truck at the top of the drive way only down fall was that we had to pack everything we brought IN and Out but all and all was still a great stay.

Summary: Home was just as described on VRBO. Great location at the lake with gorgeous view. We rented this home to be more comfortable as we got ready for our daughters wedding in Enterprise (she lives in Enterprise; we do not). Lots of room for everyone to spread out and yet, perfect for us to just sit around, be together and chat.

Summary: If you love to play in the lake, you won't find a better rental property! This home is perfect for lake-loving vacationers, from those who want to enjoy the lake view to those who want to spend their entire vacation playing in the water. For the view-only people, there's an amazing deck that provides an unobstructed lake view with comfortable seating for lounging and enjoying a good book. There are also two large tables for lakeside meals. Don't want the full sun? No problem! There's a large sunshade covering one of the tables and enough room to add additional chairs for relaxing. Now for the lake lovers - that's me! I believe this home has the best dock on the lake! It was large enough to accommodate ten people without feeling crowded. Some were sitting on the dock reading, some were jumping in to cool off, and others were easily accessing their boards to play in the water. We didn't leave the property, so having two refrigerators to keep our food was a huge bonus, and we loved that the bedrooms and bathrooms were separated on each floor. Our time was spent mostly on the lake and not in the house. We had plenty of room, and the place was clean and comfortable. We hope to return next summer!
