Hightop (as we call it) at Blodgett's Landing is such a magical place. The massive porch looks out over the glistening water of Lake Sunapee and across to Mt. Sunapee. With waterfront area and dock, summer is the perfect season to enjoy this wonderful home. In winter, fall and spring fire up the heat! Sleep and listen to the lake lap against the shore. Play backgammon on the porch, dinner on the deck and watch the sunset.
Typical rentals for the summer and through September are week long only (or close to it), but feel free to reach out and we can figure it out :-).
NOTE: October rentals will have a 4 night minimum.
"Hightop" as we know it, is the perfect Lake Sunapee waterfront house. It is a perfect house on the lake with and amazing giant porch, but now is well maintained with a updated floors and new outdoor furniture to enjoy the lake. Lake charm but you don't have to rough it.
Hightop has views from your bed of the lake and the mountain. The house is located in historic Blodgett's Landing with a private dock and access to the shared dock. The best of both worlds. We are almost directly across the lake from Sunapee harbor for ice cream or dinner and a very short car ride from lovely New London for amazing shopping and meals.

Summary: The house is in perfect location with lake view, Check-in process was smooth, Living Room and Master Bedroom are upgraded in this home. We were provided with few Kayaks and Paddleboards which was nice and welcome addOn as we used it couple times in our stay and enjoyed the lake. Trash drop off is like 12 min drive from this place which was inconvenient, but everything else was near to prefect. Thanks Dough for opening their home to us

Summary: The property was as described and pictured. Doug and Jane provided us with a "cottage" that had roomy, well-appointed spaces. Decor was simple and very tasteful. Kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans you could need. Classy dishes and glassware. Dining room was lovely. Bedrooms were neat and clean as were bathrooms. Best feature of the house is large deck-dining room/living room furniture-overlooking the lake. A true retreat from the hustle and bustle of real life. Dock, raft and toys were the best part for the kids. They frolicked and laughed the days away in the water. Doug stayed in touch with us all week, making sure everything was going well. He made us feel like guests not renters. Highly recommend this rental.
