Positive: The house is beautiful, full of artistic details The host made us a wonderful dinner And a simple breakfast. We booked. A. Boat ride with him , too, as the river is like paradise.

Negative: We were overcharged for the whole experience, meaning more than we agreed to, and in cash On top of it we gave a free car ride to his nex clients So make sure you agree about the whole service via booking, not via instant messagimg.

Positive: We loved the rustic feel of the cottage and the comfortable sofas, beds and air conditioning, The kitchen was very well equipped and being able to drink the filtered water was a bonus. The village is remote but very pretty with some beautiful swimming spots that were wonderfully warm in July. It is about 30 minutes drive to the nearest shops down some hair raising roads for either grocery supplies or cash (and the village is cash only). Our hosts were kind and generous and, we recommend eating and swimming at thier camp site through the village.

Negative: We struggled with the mosquitos out of the house (we were expecting them for the time of year but I think the lake made it worse so come prepaired) and hornets inside of the house later in our stay. I also missed a western style coffee pot (french press or cafetiere) but suspect if we had mentioned this to our hosts (which we did not) they would have found us one if they could.

Summary: wonderful remote peace and quiet (shop before you get there and take cash)

Positive: The lake house is extremely remote down quite a challenging road but it is definitely worth the effort. The house itself is very rustic and traditional but had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. When we were there it was extremely hot so couldn't do too much but the kids loved jumping off the bridge in the village and we had a fab time swimming by the restaurant and kayaking down the river. It is very relaxing just hanging out although there isn't a huge amount to do in the village but was perfect for us. Really enjoyed our stay

Negative: The only thing I would suggest is maybe some sunloungers outside to relax on the chairs outside could do with some updating. Also check for crickets before going to bed they somehow sneak in the house and are v loud in the middle of the night. 😁

Positive: Beautifully kept old house retaining a traditional character. Very comfortable seating inside and on 2 wonderful verandas. The only road to the village is narrow and very bumpy but the views are to die for, world class I would say.

Negative: No shops in village make sure you arrive with food and water. No washing machine and poor shower. Only 2 rings on cooker and no microwave.
