Positive: Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge is the getaway you need that is not too far from home. From the design of the place to the view of the lake from up there to the friendly staff and sumptuous meals, I loved every bit of it. My daughter loved the pool. My son was all about that bath tub. LOL. They also have some board games and well-manicured lawns.

Negative: Now the location is great because of the hill but getting there is a big problem (especially because it chose to rain on the day we checked in). It is an uphill slippery drive that requires a 4WD on a rainy day. To their credit, the staff did their best to aid us by picking up immediately we called and towing our car. We later learnt there is a longer alternate route which is not without its fair share of roughness. Perhaps this will change in the near future. (It did not rain again the whole time we were there).

Positive: The setting was beautiful, the pool was clean and inviting, and the buildings were lovely. The food was also delicious. I appreciated the flowers and plants.

Negative: I can’t think of much I would change. Maybe the beds could be a bit softer and there could be more variety with meals, especially in terms of dessert. But overall it was a lovely experience!

Summary: We had a beautiful, rejuvenating, enjoyable experience.
