Summary: This was our first time in years staying in Lake Almanor West. The area is very peaceful and since we are boaters, launching our boat everyday was extremely easy. We found the house to be very clean and well equipped, although some items are showing wear and tear. The house is certainly large enough for a family of 6, providing plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. We never did see the apartment as we had no reason to use it. We did not use the garage area for playing ping pong etc. as we did find it to be musty and not very clean. Our favorite area was the back deck where we ate dinner everynight, played cards and just took in the peacefulness. The kitchen was large and very well equipped and cooking up a big breakfast and dinner was super easy. All in all, we enjoyed this house. However, the listing states the house has air and when reading further on, you read that it's a window type air conditioner in the dining area cooling that area only. We accepted that and were grateful for at least that much cooling. But, upon arriving at the house, a hand written sign on the unit, by the owners, I assume, read that the unit "should only be on when cooking"! This was not anywhere in the listing or the contract. We arrived in 95 degree weather which only got hotter day by day. The house had 3 - 4 fans and we brought one which helped as much as fans can. So, nice, clean, well equipped house with pluses but can be very hot!

Summary: This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at this home and we almost didn’t come because of the fires in CA, but once we arrived, we were very glad we did! The home is very comfortable and spacious and has everything to have a relaxing memorable stay! Games, cards, ping pong, darts, and a great paperback library await you! We enjoyed the large deck overlooking green grass lawn with regular visits from local mama and baby deer!

Summary: We had 4 adults and 4 kids, and it was perfect for us all. Enough space for kids to run around outside. The outlaw was handy for me as an early riser, and not wake the main house. The connection to the internet & WIWI was really weak/slow though, so trying to work from there wasn't disappointing. We also couldn't watch streaming videos. The AC unit is also only in the dining room, so the front of the house got really hot, and the fan in the front wasn't working while we were there too. So we did a lot of open windows to stay cool. Great location near the lake though, and 1 hr from Lassen. We'll be back to the lake again for sure, kids had a blast.

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time staying in this home in early Sept. It was very clean, and spacious with a well equipped kitchen! We particularly enjoyed the ping pong table and darts in the garage, as well as the large family room in which to watch tv and play games at night. The separate granny unit was ideal for our sons' family to stay as it afforded extra privacy and flexibility for our 3 year old grandson. We all thoroughly enjoyed the home and hope to return next year!
