Positive: Proper old castle with high novelty value. But unfortunately thats about it.

Negative: Doors and ceilings are paper thin. Hear every footstep and every time someone goes to the toilet. Since its used as a party/function location getting good sleep can be difficult. Feels more like hostel than hotel. No fridge in the room. Bed way too soft. No support. Overall Expensive.

Summary: Novelty with no frills for a high price.

Positive: Unique experience in a cool old building. Game keepers room was fun (was lower ground floor).

Negative: No facilities. No restaurant or kitchen so very hard to self cater (no fridge, cutlery, etc). Was not possible to see any other part of the castle except the room we stayed in. Tiny shower next to bed so didnt bother to use it.

Summary: Unique experience but missed opportunity as it could have been amazing.

Positive: The place is an absolute gem and so are the Staff. Amazing place very comfortable secluded and great parking. The restaurant was great and was honestly the best meal I have had in the 4 weeks I have been on the road. I highly recommend this place.

Negative: Needs fixing up a lot, floors in our room were rotten and covered up with mats. Very dusty, would not recommend to allergic people.
