Summary: Our stay at La Vista Daisetsuzan was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here!

Summary: We cannot recommend La Vista Daisetsuzan enough. We skied Asahi-dake two days and staying here made skiing simple. The front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was delicious, and the onsen was the perfect way to end each day. The hotel is older but updated in all the necessary ways. It has an ageless charm. The room was super comfortable. We absolutely loved every part of our stay. Quick tip: make sure to make your dinner and breakfast reservations before arrival. They send an email a couple of weeks before you arrive. As an English speaker, we missed it as it was in Japanese.

Summary: Nice property, rooms were a little dated still clean and nice, rooms were good sized. Public and private hot springs baths were awesome. One thing to be aware of is to be sure to reserve dinner because there is literally no where else on the mountain to eat, the hotels restaurants there only serve meals to their own guests, and if you can’t wait until dinner time to get a meal.
