Positive: This is the second time that we have stayed at La Via Del Mare (see review in September 2023) We were visiting family who live in the wider area and came back here as it was such a positive experience the last time we stayed. A special mention for the reception staff, especially Marta (I hope I have got the name right) who went above and beyond during our stay. All staff were helpful and friendly, As before, the pool, the grounds, the car park, the reception/cafe are exceptional. The room had everything needed for our week long stay. You will need a car to get to the larger supermarkets and good restaurants, although there are a couple of nice pizza places nearby. The public beach is nearby, but we went back to the Sea Legend which is about 100 yards up the main street, where you can hire sun loungers and a brolly and have a light lunch/drinks at reasonable prices. Also, very nice beach and staff. Licola train station is about a 25 minute walk and from there you can take the train to Quarto for the Monday market, or further afield to Montesanto in central Naplesd for onward travel to Pompeii and Vesuvius etc. When we come back to the area we will definitely stay at La Via De Mare again and that surely has to be the biggest endorsement.

Negative: The immediate area that La Via Del Mare is in has very little tourist infrastructure and is a little 'tired'. As said in our previous review, La Via Del Mare is an oasis of calm in this area. It can be a noisy area at times.

Summary: We came back for a second time - no better endorsement than that :-)

Positive: Extremely friendly staff, the apartment was very clean

Negative: There was extremely loud music very close to the hotel until 1.30 am, and we woke up several times because our baby could not sleep well due to the noise. It seems these are regular beach parties nearby, so might happen more frequently

Positive: A very large room that has a great range of amenities, including a hob, a selection of pastries and biscuits which were provided, adequate heating facilities for food, a very comfortable bed, and nice living area to have friends round in the living/dining area

Negative: The location is a bit far from everything especially restaurants. Getting to the main town of Pozzuoli by taxi is expensive.

Positive: The room was larger than expected and was truly very comfortable. I was here for work, so being able to cook a few meals and watch Netflix after a long day was great. I was able to get a good deal during the winter months, so for me, it was perfect. The secure parking was also a big plus.

Negative: Being so close to the sea, there can be a bit of traffic. Especially on the weekends but hey, what do you expect? I would definitely stay here again.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment—perfect for our family. The included parking and pool were a huge plus, and the kitchen amenities made it easy to prepare quick dinners for the kids. The pool was a highlight for them and provided plenty of fun and relaxation. The staff were always warm and welcoming, greeting us with smiles and making us feel right at home. Evenings by the pool with drinks from the bar were a perfect way to unwind. The team also went above and beyond in helping us plan our trips to Pompeii and Naples. Highly recommended!

Negative: the water pressure in the shower was quite low and hot water wasn’t always reliable. Also, the surrounding area is more of a quiet, residential neighborhood—not ideal for tourist
