Positive: The location and everything else. Although a little challenging to find, it was well worth it to find a 100% authentic Italian hillside paradise.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike. Driving to & from the property was testing because of its hillside location (narrow, winding roads) but with satnav & patience it was not a problem.

Summary: Extremely relaxing, comfortable, friendly & pleasureable with our hosts earning 11/10 for their professionalism

Positive: It was a great experience to enjoy this wonderful B&B in this Italian hill town. Wonderful couple host you. Nicely remodelled 18th century home overlooking this quaint hillside village. They made us a lovely dinner (for an extra cost) and a simple breakfast as well included. Very nice bedroom with a nice modern bathroom. I enjoyed a little exploring by walking around the village. Make sure you get proper directions to find the place prior to setting out as it’s not as the GPS shows due to one road close to the B&B being blocked.

Negative: About 32 stairs inside to your bedroom. But they help with your luggage.

Positive: It was a wonderful place to stay. Hosts were friendly, charming and very helpful. Facilities were awesome - we were told to just make ourselves at home. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. What a beautiful setting too.

Positive: Very good jumping off point to explore the area.

Negative: Was not the fault of the owner but Google maps directs you to a closed road. Anyway take Google map sp1 turns into sp2 up the hill.Ignor e and all suggestions by Google after sp2 ..once road narrows pay special attention to a road sign with like 10 names on it .one being hi lighted in brown"" monastario".. the reason I picked that name off the list as it's the only one in a different color so it stands out. Anyway make the left at sign and stay straight keeping left for 100 or so meters and you will see a big " P" sign for parking to the left..guess what? Go right instead take the road to parking area on left...from that parking area look left for the street and walk up and down the street( yes it's like a hump) up/down the street 50 meters is the hotel on right clearly marked. .Call them if you get lost they will get you And also they will help you with heavy bags so leave that in the car and find the hotel first.

Positive: One of the best b&b’s I’ve experienced in Italy. It’s a hidden gem if you’re looking for more authentic experience instead of mass tourism. Location is great, easy to access the rest of the village. Host is very friendly and have great instruction about accessing the location. Parking practically in front of of the building. Room well equipped, very clean, amazing view. Comfortable bed and nice breakfast with delicious cappuccino. Definitely recommend and I will come back if I have a chance

Positive: This accommodation was very warm and welcoming because of the stunning location in the beautiful town of Tortora, the kindness and the love of Lidia and Michele. From the first second we entered, they made us feel at home, we got all the best info to explore the region by Michele. The breakfast was very well prepared each morning by Lidia, with freshly baked products. There is a possibility to have an excellent dinner @ the accommodation prepared by Lidia, we tried and loved it, a must do. Tortora is a gem in the mountains above the sea and very close to Praia al Mare and the region of Maratea.

Positive: Staying in Lidia's and Michele's house was very nice experience. Being there you feel their passion for hosting guests and you really can feel like at home. They care about everything and they do all to make your stay comfortable. Dishes from the hand of Lidia, whole home made are the real cherry on the cake of the whole adventure. The location of the place is really beautiful and calm, you need to have a car to travel easily. Really recommend!

Positive: The hosts were extremely nice and accommodating, even to our dog! The hostess is a dedicated caretaker, with eye for detail, and she's a talented chef! She made us an incredible breakfast, and upon request she also made us a delicious 4 course vegetarian dinner for a small price. Inside the historical building everything was very new, nice, and clean. Super comfortable bed. Our small balcony and the larger terrace of the common area for meals have a great view over the village and mountains. We liked the village and surroundings, and found a beautiful black beach quite nearby.

Negative: The only things I did not like was that smoking was not allowed on the terrace and balcony, and that we stayed so shortly.

Summary: 5 star B&B with lovely hostess, delicious food, and great view
