Positive: The receptionists were friendly. The location was pleasant. The standard room was a decent size..

Negative: I had requested a reservation in the Michelin restaurant in December (6 months before our arrival) so was surprised that I was given a reservation in the bistro instead. However I accepted this and our reservation was confirmed on arrival. It was therefore surprising that the maitre d' did not appear to have a record of our booking and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome while she checked it out with reception. There was some confusion about where our table should be and eventually we were seated in the courtyard usually used by the bar customers. This created its own confusioon as the waiting staff did not appear to be sure who should be serving us and with which menu. Eventually our order was taken and after a long wait we received our starters which were pleasant. There was then an extremely long wait before our main course arrived while we noticed that everyone who had arrived after us and were seated in the restaurant were being served. We felt as though we had been forgotten and had become invisible. Eventually our main course arrived and it was extremely disappointing. Three of us had chosen fish and chips. However it looked like overcooked fish fingers with thinly grated overfried potatoes decorating the top, and it was dry, greasy and tasted like cardboard. I was unable to eat most of it. During the meal three of us asked at different times for a glass of wine or a coffee. Our order appeared to have been taken by the waiter each time but none of them ever arrived at our table. This was the start of our three week tour around France and we had anticipated that this would be the highlight of our trip. Instead it was the lowest point of the trip. We have noted the excellent reviews from others and were disappointed that we did not experience the same. We have also noticed several other poor reviews in June. Perhaps it was just bad timing on our part but what a shame and we will not be back.

Positive: Beautiful property with a great Bistrot and perfect location on the wine trail in Burgundy. Spacious room and very quiet in January which I liked!

Summary: Beautiful rooms and lovely breakfast. Staff were very helpful.

Positive: The staff at the reception is very helpful and efficient. We were shocked upon our check in that there’s no record of our reservation at their fine dining restaurant with which our reservation was made in September last year through the message via Booking.com . We chose this hotel because of the restaurant. We were so pleased that the young gentleman at the reception was so helpful and asked the chef if he could accommodate one more table for us. Finally, we had a very enjoyable dinner at a quite corner of the restaurant.
